stoplight eyes

My blog for things I find inspiring, astounding, unusual, and unexpected. I might be recovering from depression so I'm trying to keep this blog raw and true to my thoughts.

All these colors were achieved with red, yellow, blue, and green food coloring mixed into white frosting. The amount of drops needed for the color you want is underneath the icing color. So convenient. :)

I love Mint Chip = 3 blue, 3 green

So that’s what cutting feels like.

Still Bruised

Just because you never laid a hand on me, doesn’t mean you didn’t leave me bruised and scarred.

Tea Party Nails

cindysnails:

While going through old posts. I discovered that I forgot to fulfill a request! Here is the tutorial for my “tea party” nails.

1. Start by painting your nails with a teal polish. I’m using Sally Hansen’s The Real Teal.

2. Make random, spaced out dots, one color at a time. I’m using a basic nail art brush, but the first time I did this, I used the brush that came with my bottles of polishes.

First, use white. Next, purple (Wet n Wild’s Bite the Bullet).

Then mint green (Pure Ice’s Free Spirit), and finally yellow (NYC’s Taxi Yellow).

3. Add a matte top coat. There are many brands that make them, but I’m using China Glaze’s Matte Magic Top Coat.

You’re done!

genius-idea:

“get a bowl of water, pour little bits of all the different shades you want, it should float on the top, swirl with a toothpick or something like it and when it looks like you want on top of the water, then dip your nails through the water…”
Might I suggest covering the surrounding skin with baby oil before dipping, and having q-tips with polish remover ready for clean up.
